Are you ready to replace your gas stove with an electric stove? How about replacing your gas water heater with an electric unit? The Biden Administration thinks you should which to all electric in your home. Joe Biden and company are concerned about your health.
The residential sector uses natural gas to heat buildings and water, to cook, and to dry clothes. About half of the homes in the United States use natural gas for space heating and water heating. In 2021, the residential sector accounted for about 15% of total U.S. natural gas consumption, and natural gas was the source of about 23% of the U.S. residential sector's total energy consumption.

AGA conducted a study entitled Implications of Policy-Driven Residential Electrification. This study found that if 60 percent of residences in the regions studied were converted to electricity by 2035, the average affected household could see an increase of up to $1,420 per year in increased heating costs alone. Renters and homeowners alike would have to bear these increased costs directly or through increased rent.
